The handle is designed in England, made from biodegradable and sustainable bamboo in China (where it grows).
The bristles are medium, and made from BPA-free nylon, which is vegan and an effective choice for cleaning your teeth. Full disclosure - this does not fully biodegrade, but with the rest of the brush being totally plastic-free, you are still buying a product with over 95% less plastic than any mainstream toothbrush. We are on the hunt for a fully plastic free option, but on the basis that you do actually need it to clean your teeth, this is the best we have found so far!
The toothbrush comes in a recyclable or compostable cardboard box with zero plastic content.
Our toothbrushes come in a range of colours, with both the base and the bristles being coloured. Trust us, you'll thank us at bedtime when you're trying to work out which bamboo toothbrush is yours! The painted base also stops it going mouldy.
Look after your brush by rinsing it thoroughly and tapping it against your hand to get rid of any excess water. Dentists recommend you replace your toothbrush every 3 months,
The nylon bristles can be extracted for recycling if your local centres takes it. The handles will break down and can go in with green garden waste, into wood recycling or be reused as a plant marker or similar.
